Please tell us something about yourself and what you do.

Hello, I’m an Italian photographer based in Pescara. I work and live in Italy and I like to spend all the time that I can to take photos.

How did you find the Community and who/what convinced you to join?

I found the Lomography Community when I bought my beautiful New Petzval 85 Art Lens. I’ve been using film for 20 years and when I saw this amazing community I immediately felt at home, so I started to upload my photos here.

As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday life?

Yeah, the golden rules are “holy writ”, my the best rules for me are:

#3: Lomography is not an interference in your life, but part of it
#10: Don’t worry about any rules

In this digital age, why still film?

Because the essence of photography resides in film photography. No sensor will ever replicate the magic and soul of film.

Your favorite analog camera as of the moment? Why?

I use many film cameras but I don’t have one favorite. At this moment, I often use my Canon 3000v because I have good lenses for it, including the New Petzval 85 but also like to use my Mamiya 645, Polaroid SLR 680 and Polaroid SX-70.

What is the Lomography camera you’d want to have someday?

Absolutely the Lomo’Instant Wide and Daguerreotype Achromat Art Lens.

Any song, book, or movie you live by?

I love The Doors and Jim Morrison’s poems, Emilie Autumn, Franz Kafka, fantasy books and horror movies

Share your current favorite Lomograph, could be yours or a friend’s. Why?

This photo is the soul of my photography. It shows the beauty and melancholy and my research has been moving in this direction for years.

Any Community member you look up to? If so, why him or her?

@lunasimoncini. I love the mood of her photographs. She is amazing.

What are you looking forward to in our Community?

I hope to always find beautiful photographs that inspire all so that the Community could grow and attract more and more people to appreciate the magic of analog.

Thank you Anthony for sharing your thoughts with us! Welcome to the Community and we’re looking forward to seeing more of your work!
