Sarah Longworth and the Lomo'Instant Square Glass

UK-based wedding photographer Sarah Longworth tested out her skills on the Lomo'Instant Square Glass, producing swoon-worthy photographs that are definitely for keeps.

Hello Sarah, tell us about yourself?

Hello, I’m Sarah, a designer and wedding photographer. I currently split my time living between Lancaster in the North-west of England and Vienna where my boyfriend lives.

How have you been since we last saw you?

This year has been super busy with wedding season now in full swing. There’s been a lot of travelling for weddings this year too which I’ve loved but this can become a little too consuming at times. I’m trying to make a conscious effort to find more balance between work and personal creative projects now than I have done in the past.

How did you get on shooting with the Lomo'Instant Square Glass?

This was my second time shooting with the Lomo'Instant Square Glass so I had a little experience with the technical side of the camera already. With wedding photography, I shoot so much digital so I find the tangible element of the Lomo'Instant Square Glass really refreshing. I take a huge amount of kit to every shoot, so I found the foldable element of the camera super cool. For this shoot, I met up with Tamar and Matt who were a really delightful couple to photograph. The day was quite overcast and rainy but I found this gave lovely a tone to the images, particularly the greens. The light in the glasshouse was perfect.

What are your photography plans for the autumn/winter?

Autumn and winter are quieter times of the year for me. I recently joined a studio in Vienna which as its own darkroom, so I’m very excited about having more time to dedicate to developing and printing my own work.
