Samoan Mystery (3 of 3)

Years ago, I sent copies of these to a marine biologist; she had no idea. I found a website that focused on weird and unusual things. They posted the pix online for a few days, no one had any clue what this thing could be. The day after I found it, I saw the overnight high tide had taken it away again.
