Developed with caffenol Cm-RS, at 20 degrees for 20 minuets. Agitated for 1 minuet then 10 seconds every minuet. Not sure what went wrong here as they didn't come out as sharp as I would have liked.

my bronica s2a is my special love and was the beginning of going back to film photography seriously. i was looking for an inexpensive alternative to a hasselblad and stumbled over japan's zenza bronica brand. i instantly fell in love with the s2a, third generation of bronicas ever, from 1963. i purchased from ebay 2 years ago and since then she is a trusty companion. she is heavy, noisy and big, but she is absolutely easy to handy, reliable, uncomplicated and a serious eye catcher to people. often people approach me because of this camera and it ends up with friendship ... or a portrait at least.

Sensia II 100 expired in 1999, was shot @64, the film was very thick (opaque), I think it would have been better @200. Only a few pictures could be saved...

This is my first time developing with caffenol, an organic black and white film developer based on coffee. Caffenol stains the acetate and so can yield a sepia effect if the negatives are scanned in color. I used the phone app Massive Dev to get the developing time, I’m quite pleased with the results however some images came out more sepia then others. I’m not sure why, I don’t think this has anything to with exposure. All in all I think it’s a better developer than D-76, though I’ll have to try a few more rolls before I’m sure.
