@charliedontsurf I'm jealous. I wanted to do some cliff diving nearby but we never got there this year. I want to do some movie film of the experience and possibly ruin a super 8 camera in the process. Still not there yet. Not ruining my bolex of course.

@mike1allison the thought of shooting 8mm, super8, 16mm is incredibly tempting but financially ruinous. I've got a 16mm filmo that Wayne kindly gave me. I've gone as far as to buy a couple rolls of fomapan double perf for it but that's as far as its gone, I don't know when I'll be ready to take the plunge, really and truly I need a damn good reason to shoot it.

@charliedontsurf I'm with you. I have a lot of "supplies" and have some random film I've acquired by accident usually - 8mm or 16mm thrown in with the stuff I want. But I agree it has to really be the right thing because here is more investment and more process when I only have so much lifetime left to master still photography - or at least some aspect of it. But it is extremely tempting...

@mike1allison I occasionally play with it, wind the thing up point it at things, imagining I'm Robert Capa in that famous photo...

@charliedontsurf if you can ever find the frontline films documentary with Neil davis, it's a classic. He wad an Australian war correspondent mostly film. Did a lot in Vietnam.

@mike1allison yeah the filmos are indestructible, I have no doubt that it'll still be working when the digital age has been forgotten.

@charliedontsurf digital is a fad lol. The real problem with digital is it doesn't actually exist. You have to do something with it. People still buy and sell old negatives, glass, tin plates, etc. They are art all by themselves. They will exist after we are gone... well hopefully....
