I have only been to the Chickamauga battlefield south of Chattanooga, but I have seen so many pictures of abandoned railroad tracks, tunnels and strange train overpasses throughout Georgia. What wonderful picture opportunities, especially with the tree and plant overgrowth. Does your part of Alaska have that many left-overs to photograph?

a few here and there. i live in Fairbanks and FAI really started getting big around the late 40s so theres a few deco type buildings down town but not allot. fairbanks was founded only back in the 20s unlike Macon Ga that was founded in like 1837. there is allot of old abandoned gold dredges ive been taken to, usually involved hiking a good ways, some of my buddies have run up on old abandoned trapper cabins while riding snow machines in the winter. on the way to anchorage there is allot of old abandoned hotels from what ive heard that would be cool to check out...i guess they closed because they were just too far out of the way. there is a few small towns and villages between Fairbanks and anchorage but its 357 miles of mostly wilderness.
