pulverantilist beach

Expired film, love it or hate it, its always fun to shoot. Here we have kodak vision 3 200t shot with the recommended filter and processed in my bellini c41 kit. Ive tested this film and have come to the conclusion that its been badly stored and is basically stuffed , it only becomes usable at around iso 32, this roll i shot at about iso 25, anything nearer its original 200 speed results in bad underexposure. Maybe it will push a stop, i don't know but I've got about 200ft of the stuff to experiment with so i guess i will find out what makes it tick eventually. Shot at perranporth beach last sunday on the hottest day of the year so far with a beater zenit and a helios 58 f2 and a few were taken with my jupiter 135 f4 shot wide open which is deliciously soft and full of flaws at this aperture setting. Note to Malcolm: I quite like Martin Parr;)

By far one of the most memorable images I have seen this year. Reminiscent of the colours and energy of the beaches from the land down under. As is the likeness it has to the album art work via the link below:

@eyeseaimages oh my goodness yes, what an amazing coincidence, the colour palette is almost identical! There's me growing up in the 80s, loving inxs and not knowing about that album! Thanks for your comment, sometimes the photographer doesn't see what the viewer sees so its a pleasant surprise when I've stirred an emotion in someone else. I was trying to pan with the gull knowing that everything else would be blurry but colourful as I had to shoot at 1/30 sec so there was some intent. It will be interesting to see how the next roll turns out. Thanks again :)
