This is really cool, is it worth going to for someone not from the UK? I'm planning a trip

@guitarman I'm assuming you mean the Great Glen Way and not just this awesome troll bridge (which may well be worth coming to UK for depending on how interested in trolls/bridges you are)? The Great Glen Way is a 79 mile hike from coast to coast through the highlands of Scotland from Inverness in the east to Fort William in the west (that's the direction I did it in, although I believe it's normally done west to east, often as a continuation of the West Highland Way which goes from Glasgow to Fort William or vice versa). As long distance hikes go it's not a particularly difficult route in terms of terrain but it would depend on how much experience you have with walking for more than 2 days in row (this was the first time I'd done more than 2 days consecutively and what would normally seem like a reasonably short distance becomes slightly more daunting after the third or fourth day) and how much gear you are carrying (I had a tent and sleeping equipment which obviously has a significant impact on your pace but does make the whole thing feel much more of an adventure). It is possible to walk at any time of year as it is well paved and mostly low altitude although I would recommend doing the high level routes when possible (amazing views down the Great Glen) and, in the summer at least, it is possible to get your luggage taken ahead of you to hostels along the route lightening the load and meaning you could probably complete the whole walk in less than five days. Basically, if you are a hardened hiker or adventurer looking for a trip into the wilds of Scotland this probably isn't for you, but, if you want a relatively gentle walk where you can walk the width of Scotland in less than a week, then yes, it is worth doing. If you want something more challenging you could look into the West Highland Way (more mountainous) or unofficial trails like the Cape Wrath Trail. Hope this helps and good walking to you!
