1st roll of photos through the 1973 vintage Canon FTb with 50mm f/1.8 FD lens. Got lucky at Sunthrift charity store. Bought it for US$34.99 + $3.50 tax.

    @marcel2cv Thanks!! Prior to 1939, Crescenta Valley Park was called Bismark Park. In 1935, it was the site of a huge birthday celebration for Adolf Hitler, put on by the Friends of New Germany. I think this sign went up last February through the machinations of the Euroamerican Cultural Society, white supremacists, preying on the ignorance of the Glendale Parks and Services Department. There have been protests, and it will come down.

    @herbert-4: Thank you, really interesting! I don't think there is anything left named Hindenburg in Germany... Bismarck on the other hand is still some kind of "en vogue".
    What I meant was: In German you would say "welcome in" (willkommen in), not "welcome to". That's how I know the sign wasn't written by a German.
