Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

I work on the marketing department of an international leisure parks company; I am in charge of the market research and data base management. This pays the rent. My interests are my true passions: filming (with the LomoKino,) writing and acting in theater, and acting as a clown. Also: my friends, rock music, fantasy books, and anything to stimulate illusion. Dreams and creativity will complete the list. Oh, yes! Nearly forgot: FOOD.

This guy’s one cool Lomographer, too!

Describe the LomoKino in five words.

Want to play making movies?

*How did you like shooting with the LomoKino?

It’s an incredible experience. Not only the filming, but also all the previous and post-filming steps, these are fully enjoyable experiences: team working the idea, the script, sharing with the actors, choosing the clothing, places, working with the music!

What or who has inspired you to purchase and use the LomoKino?

The LomoKino arrived in my hands as a birthday present just one year ago from a great friend. As soon as I laid my eyes on it, I have found the tool for my movie making dreams. After that, I think that being with people [who are] willing to dream, have illusions, and with no pretentions of enthusiastic fun while filming are the secret formula in enjoying the LomoKino — no judgment on the results, just enjoy the journey!!!

Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?

For my first serious filming, BITES LOMOKINO VAMPIRE!

Saturday 9 in the morning, a very cold morning; I arrive with lots of bags and boxes, so the actors (friends not professional) where impressed of the arrangements as they see all the staff coming out of my car. I set the torches, the atrezzo, give the dressings to the actors (boxes and bags were getting emptied,) the tripod, food, and beverage, timing and filming plans… And then, from a small handbag came out the “camera” (rumors and cheering of emotion ceased) — glup!

I put the Lomokino on the tripod (huge silence.) Everyone was staring at me. Nobody believed that the “artifact” attached to the tripod was going to be the camera. Faces of “get real” looking at me. Not until one or two hours later and after a pre-mutiny meeting plot, some actors came and ask me if it was true that this was the camera we were going to use. Surprise arrives months later when BITES became the LomoKino Premier Amateur winner. A magical night we will remember! All the crew surrounded by over 800 people watched BITES on a huge cinema screen… A dream we’ve never ever could have dreamt of, came true.

If you could shoot any person alive or dead (or imaginary) with your LomoKino, who would it be and why?

My favorite director is Tim Burton and I would love to learn from him. I love filming with my friends and the people that believe, feed, and share our dreams. Really have to choose one? I don’t know… is the couple Pitt –Jolie free for spring? Gandalf? Shakespeare? Placebo? It must be only one? Ah, okay! Then it is my best friend.

Kindly share to us any LomoKino movie you love the most.

I think that two of the LomoKino masterpieces are:

Out of Depth by sherman86. I will love to see the complete story for this one.

Ghost on the Beach by satomi. This one, fully deserves to be in the most popular place that it is on.

Any future plans with your LomoKino? More shoots or a full-length film perhaps?

Lots! But I have plans of shooting an epic LomoKino movie — I dream of filming a battle scene with 30 – 40 soldiers. I’ve got it on paper, now I need all my extras! Ha ha ha ha. Yes, I would love to go for a full-length film with this epic Idea. What we are thinking on is to film it as a series, and put them together chapter by chapter until it becomes a full-length [film.] HELP!!! We will try to do one every two or three months.

Your advice to future LomoKino users.

I can assure that you will only get rewards from this filming camera. Have an idea, a dream of making a movie with your friends? Then do it, get ready to enjoy a magical and unique journey!

You sir are a true gent! Thank you!
I hope your well :) and you will be pleased to know the story is nearly complete! Its looking like it will be a summer production and I need to raise quite a bit of cash for what I have in mind. But, I'm very excited. The limits of what the Lomokino is capable of will most definitely be pushed! :) Best wishes
