Yes, Purple Filter not subtle but I like it.

I think I’m starting to get my head around this new camera/light meter thing. Though I must confess I discovered, I have been using the Mamiya with its lenses set in auto mode which means that aperture was either closed right up or wide open. This includes this series of photographs, so I’m surprised they turned out at all. Still not happy with the way this waist view finder works, and I’m not framing shots the way I would Like. I’ve actually ordered a prism view finder, but would welcome any tips.

Why would you think that auto on the lens means the aperture is set to wide open or closed down? When you select A on the lens the aperture stays open for you to focus, but closes down to the aperture you select on the lens ring when the shutter is fired. Select the M mode and the only difference is the aperture will follow your movements of the aperture ring before firing the shutter. The camera will never select an aperture for you, only shutter times can be chosen by the camera, and only if you use an AE prism. I have been using this camera for a while, if you have any questions you feel free to PM me. This series looks great btw! :-)
