Konica EE matic

The Konica EE matic. A selenium meter based autoexposure rangefinder, manufactured in 1963. One of the only few cameras, using the "electric eye" technology. No battery needed and the camera is choosing the right aperture automatically, based on one fixed shutter speed.

I've got this camera too! However, it's unuseable because the rangefinder is broken. I took off the top plate to see if I could repair it but unfortunately it's not repairable. It's a great addition to my antique camera collection, I just wish I could actually shoot with it.

That's too bad. I have been lucky, that the rangefinder is still working, but it is also often not on those cameras. I needed to buy three Canonets to get one working camera out of those. The rangefinders of all three cameras had a problem somehow.
