I promise this will be the last cheesy flower album for now. I tried to do some doubles again, this time with colour slide film. As with my b&w doubles I shot the first layer on a black computerscreen in a dark room. The second layer were shot at the Keukenhof in Lisse. I have to say that I am not entirely happy with the results. Unless I underexposed the first layer with one stop, the colibris turned out way to bright, so the colour of the birds is not visible at all but white instead. Now they look a little bit like neon colibris :)
Got a pleasant surprise after processing this roll. I wasn't expecting the double exposures, but I'm glad it happened. The first layer was intended to shoot some night time lights and fireworks. The second layer was taken at my nephew's birthday party at a petting zoo.
Double exposure of dolphin and cosmos...
First went to the aquarium and shot dolphins only.
Then waited patiently for two or three weeks till cosmos grow...
Set the dolphin films again and shot flowers only at a cosmos garden.
Used a "half ND filter" or black cloth, to control the amount of exposure. (masking half of the lens with them)
I tried about 100 shots but most of them ended in failure...
I will try this kind of theme again...
I had this idea for a double.... this album did not turn out exactly how I had imagined... but I was very happy with it! for my Birthday, I want metres and metres of E100 VS!!!!!!!!!
I haven't uploaded a lot of images here in the past months. So here's a selection of my favorite double exposures taken with the Hasselblad during the last 5 months in Paris.

Did some doubles with myself shooting first my friend Natacha and then shooting random things around town. Sadly I didn't replace the film in exactly the same sprocket hole so most images were overlapped and not exactly centered so I had to crop some to get them somewhat right. Hope you enjoy them!
A few weeks ago I started this roll, but at the end of it I wasn't satisfied of the subjects I shot, so I rewound it and started taking pictures again.
What I like about the result is that the doubles exposures aren't perfectly coincident, so you don't know, or better, you can choose, the limits of the picture. Here I'm showing some possible combinations.

Double exposure. The Chivas Regal Whiskey bottle is real, the president is not. The talking head image was shot from a television broadcast. To get this close, I used a +4 diopter taped unto the lens of the Holga 120N. Did not have a flash so I time-exposed both images.

Io e Goonies passeggiando per Napoli, in compagnia della Diana F+ Tori Amos . . è andata più o meno così .. Goonies carica una pellicola, e scatta la prima foto . Mi dice : vuoi scattare una doppia? Click ! poi aggiunge avanza e scatta, poi non avanzare e fammi scattare. Ne è nato un double itinerante ! /////////////////////////////////
I and Goonies were walking around Naples, with a Diana F + Tori Amos. . .. Goonies uploaded a film, and took the first picture. He said : Do you want to take a double? .. Click! .. Then he said : forward and shoot, then, don't forward and let me shoot. The result was a walking double !
Double exposures are great fun — and they give you twice the value of your film-frame too! Not something to be dismissed lightly in these troubled economic times ;-)
Then there's 'doubling' with a friend too, of course, when you get to reshoot a roll of film that's already been shot by a fellow Lomographer. I haven't actually done this myself yet, but, hey, I'm open to any offers, amigos...! ;-)

Underexposed multi layered photo. I can imagine there is a true sense of wonder and isolation soaring above the clouds in a baloon looking down on Earth. There are a lot of reasons this lomograph is one of my favorites. It is my most popular lomograph. It is a double exposure and I love doubles. I also love hot air balloons and hope to one day ride in one.
This the first time that I tried double exposure with the Hasselblad and it works very well in combination with the Lomograhpy X-PRO 200!
These are impressions of my kind of daily walk through Paris from Jardin de Luxembourg to the Marais :-)
