Frustrated with how expensive #waterproof housing is, I made a super cheap version for surf sessions. I used a #canonsnappy and a ziplock bag with some rubber bands. The results were amazing. Erroneous, adventurous and weird. Eventually the waves were so large I did go under a few times but that added to the results - everything is swirling and chaotic but at the same time pretty sublime. I also admit that I love the way the plastic looks here even if I do cringe thinking about how much of it is in the ocean. Don't worry though, I fully secured the bag and made sure it was recycled. At the end of all these sessions I was so tired from treading water, swimming to catch up to people and salty (the good kind of salty). This experience was a major lesson in trial and error. There is something really freeing about just going out and doing something with the resources you have. × 1
