Nostalgic Feelings

I think everybody have some special places where they used to go as children, and well, today I’m gonna talk about one of mine.

My family is this huge italian family living in Brazil since the early 1900’s and well, my great grandfather had a dream of building a sugarcane industry and with the help of his children and grandchildren, he managed to do that, in the countryside of the state of Sao Paulo, in Brazil. So, over the years he bought some lands and so our ‘over 300 people’ family have some farms where we can go during vacations just to spend time and relax and this is one of the farms, the most beautiful in my opinion.

It has a huge house full of bedrooms and as I grew up, I started to invite friends over to spend a week or so during vacations and we would party and have so much fun here, it’s just a magical place… one of those places that aren’t fancy at all, it’s all rustic, and where the internet signal barely works, but because of all that, it’s just peaceful and calm.

And the yard… it’s just so nice to spend the afternoon theorem and during the winter nights we gather some wood and make a big fire and just chat around it the whole night.

When I was really young, there used to be a playground there too, but now there’re only 2 toys left, but every kid that goes there seems to enjoy it a lot: (oh, but don’t mind my little cousin’s face, she got mad because we wouldn’t go play with her)

And there’s a soccer camp there too, so there’s really a lot of things to do throughout the day.

One of my favourite things about this place is the natural beauty that’s all around there… Look this amazing big old tree… I forgot to take more shots of it, but it’s so huge, that someone managed to install a small fridge and a locket IN the tree, it’s awesome, and of course it was done in a way that it didn’t hurt the tree.

And if you, like me, love sunsets, this is one of my favourite places to see it too!

I’ve always been attached to the places that were a part of my childhood, so I’ll definitely be posting more about those places just as soon as I can get some shots of them!
