   @sharpwaveripple Hi! It is an Agave americana. Where I come from we colloquially call them piteras. They are pretty common around the mediterranean and anciently they were used to make ropes! Greetings from Spain!

   @rafapinilla Thanks! That's very interesting to know. Having looked into it, I don't think I could manage to grow one in the UK climate, sadly... Beautiful plant, though! Another reason to be envious of mediterranean countries :)
