Stadt aus Eis (Svalbard #6)

I was walking in the footsteps of Roald Amundsen in Svalbard and stayed one week in the northernmost settlement on the Planet: Ny Ålesund. Just before the north pole. I stayed in a scientific station and was afraid taking shots would be impossible in the polar night due to the lack of light. But I put my LCA 120 on the slippery ice or on a gorillapod and exposed the living hell out of my pictures. And Roald himself got a lighting show, all for the sake of science...

    @neufotomacher yes - I think the perspective and the long time exposure plays a big part in this :)
