Recurring

This is my first short film debut shot with a Lomography LomoKino (100% gloriously analogue, hand-cranked movie camera)

Recurring was filmed at various streets of George Town Unesco World Heritage, namely Campbell Street which my mother fondly remembers as the prime shopping belt back then. She used to accompany my maternal grandmother here to buy some items especially nearing Chinese New Year's festive season and they travelled by cycle rickshaw.

Second part which is in black and white was filmed at Armenian Street. The road is narrow and shophouses line up on both sides of the street. As I walked down, I discovered a Clan Temple - Cheah Kongsi nestled comfortably in this seemingly restrictive place. I went in and it was like The Secret Garden, suddenly the place was transformed into a vast field where one could run freely.

For this project, I fed the LomoKino with Lomography X-pro Chrome 100 and Fuji Neopan Acros 100, did I mention that it has a monstrous appetite? Thank you and enjoy the show!
