Some time ago we had an overnight stay in a hotel here in Cologne. This is part of an (anually) offer from the Cologne tourism office to give locals the chance being tourist in our hometown - with good offers for costly hotels in town. We had a nice stay but the weather was horrible...rainy and cold, that´s nothing you like as a tourist!
