EKTACHROME HC 100 XPRO

i found a bunch of old (deadstock) ektachrome hc 100 for some bucks. had to get them!

my supersampler did not work after only two rolls. i sent customer service a nice little mail and this was the answer:
Sorry, we can only do one, and although the emersion Super Sampler.
We can taste the return postage, and save much time by destroying the Super Sampler.
(With a hammer or similar). Then please send me some pictures of the destroyed Super Sampler, and I'll send them the replacement part.
We need the photo as proof that the old Super Sampler no longer works.
I would just need the address where the replacement should be sent, and the serial number on the inside of the device (if you find)

    That's insane. So you had to destroy it to prove you wouldn't be trying to make some money on a new one. It does kind of confirm for me that they're not really worth what they cost. I'm sure the book and packaging is about 70% of the cost.
