In the '90's, I was invloved in the restoration of Bulleid Pacific Locomotive 34028 'Eddystone'. On the 6-7th June 1992, there was an open day at Chart Leacon Depot in Ashford and the preserved rail press were about to get a shock: How could an ex barry locomotive get restored in less than 6 years? Answer was, we couldn't! The owners of 34027 'Taw Valley' allowed us to replate 34027 with 'Eddystones' name plates
