Test roll of homemade redscale800 for 120.
Originally Kodak Portra800. About 30 seconds exposed.
Little bit under-exposed than I expected. Not so different from Lomography Redscale 50-200.
Color saturation and contrast are rich enough. Will test again.
I was living in Kyoto, one of the most popular area especially in autumn red leaves season, in my early twenties. But didin't know a lot about photography then. Since I started lomography my strong desire for KYOTO WITH LOMO has been geting bigger and bigger. ( I haven't seen any lomographs of Kyoto ever!) In this autumn I finally could visit there with LOMOs and enjoyed just one day lomowalk. Needed 3 days more at least! I had nice time anyway :)
i stayed in brussels at friends place and the first evening the friend of mine wanted to see some pics i shot. when he saw shots of le corbusier and the snake building he immediately said i have to got to this one building because it looks so cool and take pics of it. so did i. i didn´t expect much because he only told me it looks as being from another time. a bit futuristic. from the street you hardly recognize or see the beauty of it. but standing in front of and looking on the backside blows you. or at least me. there are two shots of the building in the back a mirror building too. unfortunately the sun came out only for a few seconds so i guess in summer you can take great shots. btw: it´s chausseé de la hulpe #181. check it out next time you´re there. you won´t pass there by accident because it´s way outside of the city center.
From ”filmsoup-swap” project with my favorite photographer fotobes. About this photo I shot first in Japan (Matsumoto Castle, Nagano), and then he started shooting in UK. He shot at Millennium Bridge, London. After finishing the roll he ”cooked” the film. On completing the roll, he mixed together some boiled water with silica gel and washing detergent, and left it to cool a little. Then he went into his make-shift darkroom and pulled out the film from the canister. Next he flicked and dabbed the ”soup” onto the exposed film. He waited for a few minutes and then rewound the film into the canister. Afterwards he went to the kitchen and dropped the film into just-boiled water, and after 5 minutes I transferred it into cold water for a minute. Then back in the darkroom he pulled the film out from the canister again and dried it with a hairdryer, and when done he rewound the film. The film was then developed at Asda, and scanned at The Vault in Brighton. We don’t discuss what we have each taken photographs of, so the results are always a surprise. for a laugh we let our kids ride their bikes on the beach. our littlest taught himself how to peddle that day. just as i ran out of film. self developed negs.
