1955 Messerschmitt KR200

Concours d'Elegance of America at St. Johns.
This has always been a very upscale and somewhat snobby car show. There has always been a Duesenberg class or two, and everything is the highest quality of early vintage automobiles. We're talking everyone wearing Seersucker Suits and Straw Hats. But the last few years they have been changing up the classes to include cars all the way up to 1970 and newer Super Cars. This year the special classes included - Jet-Age Station Wagons, Micro Cars, Sling Shot Rails, Vintage Three Wheelers, Trans-Am Race Cars, and Jaguar vs. Corvette.

@fartstorm My thoughts exactly. Especially with that weaselly pencil thin mustache.

Amazing car - looks like a WWII fighter plane with the wings cut off! (Unsurprisingly, given that it is a Messerschmitt, I guess...)

@buckshot It looks even more like a fighter plane when the canopy is open. The whole top of the car flips open on a hinge at the driver's right shoulder and is held upright with a leather strap. I was lucky the owner was right there as we were walking up and had just opened it and after a took a few digital pix I was able to ask him to close it back up and get this one. Thanks for the Like and Comment.
