   Is the burning done on purpose or was it a wildfire that started naturally? That is amazing karst topography! :)

   Open burning is done every year in the spring.
   Akiyoshidai is the biggest Karst plateau in Japan.
   And there is also biggest limestone cave in Japan.

   @gakurou Thanks for posting your Akiyoshidai photos..... I had never heard of this part of Japan before. Now I have another region I need to add to my "must see" list! :)

   When the karst plateau is covered with green grass, it is a wonderful view.
