Fix Your Broken Fujifilm Instax 210 Self-Shoot Lens with Used Instant Photo Cartridges!
2 2 Share TweetThe little plastic latches on my self-shoot/close-up-shot lens broke, so it no longer attaches to the Fujifilm Instax 210. Since I did not think it was worth paying over $15 for a tiny piece of plastic, I decided to repair my own using cheap and available materials—-super glue, paper clips, used instant photo cartridges, and magnets!
STEP 1
Cut out a piece of the used instant photo cartridge. I chose the piece in the middle because of its thickness. If you do not have any used cartridges, take some long-distance photos so you make one. Otherwise, any piece of material of the same dimensions will work. It will act merely as a support for the magnet.
STEP 2
Cut them into pieces no wider than 1/16". The length does not really matter as long as it’s around or under 1/2".
STEP 3
Glue the two pieces together, and a small magnet on top of them.
STEP 4
Glue this plastic-magnet sandwich in the crevice indicated below:
STEP 5
Cut a piece of a paperclip (or some other metal piece that responds to a magnet).
STEP 6
Glue it on the camera in the indicated location.
STEP 7
DONE! If you don’t like the way the paperclip looks, you could cut/put stickers on them.
