Hello! Please introduce yourself in a few words…
I’m a singer and songwriter from Malaysia. I love music, movies, travels and photography. An idealist who loves making friends and experiences different lifestyle in various cities.

Are you a keen lomographer or are you new to this whole thing?
Since 2007 until now.

You have been using Lomo LC-A+ for quite some time. Why do you love it so?
Actually I’ve got a series of Lomo cameras. Each has its own specialties, such as Holga 120 Holga 135, Horizon Kompakt, Sprocket Rocket and LC-A+. All cameras give different outcomes and bring surprises. I prefer LC-A+ because of its small and handy outlook, very user-friendly and almost all pictures are great. That’s why I bring along my LC-A+ everywhere I go, to record everything that happens in my life.

What’s the best part of being a singer and a song writer?
I could go to different parts of the world to sing, sharing my life and stories with everyone through music. The most heartwarming part is that many people seek comfort through my songs, and music gives life to people.

And the worst?
No matter when and where; there are ten thousand people in the audience or just one in front of the stage, a performer still has to give in his/her very best in the performances. The hardest part is the determination that one could have.

Who influences your music life most? Why?
My parents; they sent me to piano lessons when I was 5. When I was young, my parents used to sing a lot at home; my mom played the piano while my dad sang. My dad loves to play the harmonica too. That’s when I started to love music.

What did you do for living before you entered the music circle? Anything unforgettable event that happened during those days?
I was a graphic designer. Besides music, I love arts too, so I went to work at a publisher after I graduated from the university. But I felt bored with the routine life, and my boss was just a businessman who knows nothing about art. Apart from the low salary, I always had to work overtime until midnight, and my jobs were modified one time after the other, so in the end I resigned. Afterwards, I started to work as a lounge singer at a few Live Houses in Kuala Lumpur, and there my music journey began.

Tell us the most heart-warming moment ever happen in your life, so far?
The first time when I listened my own song on the radio, it was awesome!

Did you enjoy documenting your adventures on the LC-A+?
LC-A+ has been a part of my life. No matter where I go, be it performing or traveling, I use it to record my journey. Sometimes when I’m performing on the stage, I would use my LC-A+ to shoot the atmosphere – the reaction of the audiences , which moves my heart.

Describe the LC-A+ in five words:
Dream, honest, simple, gentle, young.

What is the definition of analogue lifestyle to you?
Our lives are imperfect, but it’s all these imperfections which make up the whole life. Analogue lifestyle to me is very simple and natural; it’s the life attitude that I aspire.

The most unforgettable, strangest, funniest or worst photographic/Lomographic encounter that you have ever had.
About 2 years ago, my family and I went to a small town about 30 minutes away from my hometown for lunch. While waiting for the food, I wandered around the restaurant with my LC-A+. Eventually I came to a ruin which was filled with debris, when I was about to click on my shutter, somebody shouted at my back, "Who are you? What are you doing here? Are you reporter?!” And before I could react, the guy threw a chair towards me, luckily I was able to escape without being injured. In the end we left the restaurant without finishing the food. The owner of the restaurant told us that the guy who threw the chair to me was mentally ill, there was once he wanted to chop people with a knife. That was such an unforgettable experience. LOL.

If you could take your camera and a stack of film anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
I would like to go to the Grand Canyon in Arizona in the United States at least once in my life! This place is sooo attractive. Grand Canyon gives me a very strong feeling of loneliness. I would love to experience that atmosphere.

If you could photograph anything in the world (person, place, moment, whatever) what would it be?
Human’s eyes.

Tell us something about you’ve been doing lately, like your latest project and your future plans?
I would be releasing a new single in May. Also I am preparing for a concert In March. I wish to launch a photography anthology too.

What’s your favorite photo in the collection and why?
The one below, because the mood of the picture matches my feelings while I was taking that picture. My friend was driving and I was trying to capture a train at the opposite lane through her front window. Coincidentally my friend’s side face was captured too. It was like a story.

What tips can you give future LC-A+ users?
Every LC-A+ user has his/her own preferences; like me, I like to take macro pictures with depth. There’s no special tips, don’t think, just shoot! And surprise awaits you!

The Lomo LC-A+ RL has all the features we know and love, authentic Russian lens, and a back that’s now interchangeable with the Instant Back+. Explore analogue possibilities with the LC-A+ RL!
