Meet our Holiday LomoAmigo Spoeker!

14

Next in line for our Holiday LomoAmigos is Ines Dörrenhaus a.k.a spoeker from Germany! She’s got quite a collection of cameras and of course, quite a collection of awesome Lomographs as well. Here she is!

REAL NAME: Ines Dörrenhaus
CITY: Cologne
COUNTRY: Germany

Tell the community a little bit about yourself and maybe something about you we would never have guessed.

I’m a certified biologist and now I’m working at the German Aerospace Center here in Cologne. I have nothing to do with “space” it’s more an adviser-job for the national contact point for information- and communication technologies (ICT).

In my spare-time I love to go to concerts and festivals. Taking photos of the shows and writing stuff for the online magazine rock-spot. I also love to travel a lot, my favorite place so far is Australia. I spend some time there back in 2005 and really want to go back! There are some awesome closer places too: I love to go to Holland! I’m there several times a year, or the UK, esp. London or Finland (Helsinki) and even Germany has some great spots, like Cologne and I love to go to Berlin but it’s even farther away than Holland ^^

How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you get into this whole thing?

I had my first analog birthday on 30th august this year, this is my personal birthday too. The addiction has it’s origin at my last years birthday when I got the blue Fisheye as a present from “lindamaria”http://www.lomography.com/homes/lindamaria. Since that time I’m hopeless lost in the analogue world…

How will you celebrate the holiday season? Will you be getting together with family and friends and do you have anything special planned?

I will be together with both – family and friends – and will be in Holland at the sea :)

Describe if you can your personal shooting style. Are you a classic snap shooter, experimental lab rat or just plain up for anything?

I don’t know if I have a kind of “own style” I just love to take photos of specific things like my dog, feet, shadows, graffiti, self-portraits, moustache, sea&sand, the ferris wheel and of course I like to document the places I’ve been too.

If you had to choose one- (yes, just one) shot – what would be your favorite photo from the ones you took this year?

Based on likes and comments the community says this one:

But my personal favorite is…wow this is really hard…but I would go with this one

We ask for a photo selection that you feel is kind of a recap of your year. If you could make a soundtrack for your photos / year what would these songs be? Any reason in particular? (3 songs title & artist please).

  • Sights & Sounds – Storm and the Sun
  • Disco Ensemble – Magic Recoveries
  • Jimmy Eat World – Futures

What is your weapon of choice when it comes to your favorite camera and film?

LC-A loaded with Kodak Elitechrome ED 200

If you could choose any Lomographic analogue goodie to receive this year (hint, hint family & friends) what would it be?

The new Sprocket Rocket! Or the LC-A Instantback or the LC-A Krab – so many things on my wishlist ^^

What is the strangest, funniest, or hands-down greatest photographic/Lomographic moment you had this year?

One of the best moments of this year was meeting up with fellow Lomographers at the fun fair in Düsseldorf. That was the first time that I meet other Lomographers of the community in real life and it was so much fun :)

The photokina 2010 was also a great event or simply being on a roadtrip with friends and cameras is awesome.

Are you making any New Years resolutions for 2011 that you would like to let the community on?

Hm, I like those 365 projects but I was to lazy so far. Maybe I will start my very own in 2011. Ohh and of course meeting some more fellow lomographers!

Any parting words of wisdom to all your Lomography friends out there?

A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words.
