Winter in the bavarian forest, Cham

When the winter and Christmas time comes, you can’t imagine it without snow. There’s a beautiful place to go in Germany/Bavaria, during winter time: the Bavarian forest (“Bayrischer Wald” and of course it’s also a great place during summertime for other activities, see my previous location http://beta.lomography.com/magazine/locations/2008/08/01/hang-gliding-at-the-bchelstein)

Take hot clothes and go have a walk in this beautiful pure nature, through great forests, walking on the fields and having the frozen snow cracking under your feet, or sometimes it makes this beautiful soft noise when the snow is recent… (do you know what I mean…oh what I love this kind of noise!). As the Bavarian forest is really high above the rest of the countryside, you can easily have an amazing wide view over the whole landscape, and it can also happen that you’re above the clouds and winter fog that catches the cities in the valley.

The air is so fresh and pure, that after 1 hour walking you really feel fully regenerated, you took a lot of energy from this beautiful nature, and of course you can make a lot of amazing shots of such a landscape… and that is what I did of course (how could it be else..? ;))))

There are 6 different counties sharing this forest (a part of it is the “national park of the Bavarian forest”) and you can reach the area from cities like Straubing, Deggendorf or go directly in the middle of the area to the city of Cham. But the whole area is very wide and goes to the Czech border and is then called Bohemian forest.

A great place to visit, if you like to have a nice walk, or if you’re a ski fan, because there also some ski stations as there are some mountains reaching (or going over) 1000m high.
And, as said before the summertime is great as well in this area!

Thanks! :)) The 35mm with a part of sprockets are shot with Lubitel (and curiously, when I scanned them with the whole sprockets, I didn't get the same magic color...) and the b&w 35mm are shot with the magical Yashica Electro 35 GSN! :)) And the 120 ones, Lubitel+ of course! :))
