The Photography Show 2017 Recap

The Lomography UK team headed north for the Photography Show 2107 at the Birmingham NEC. We also brought a few friends and community members along to help out. Find out how we got on and what happens when you leave a loaded camera lying around.

We set off early armed with a big bag of "Analogue in the UK" t-shirts and a good supply of coffee to see us through the day. Once the boxes arrived we started by making up the Lomofloor, covered with colorful shots taken by the Lomography community members. It took a few hours to unpack the boxes and set up everything so it looked beautiful.

We met some fantastic people throughout the event including Lomography fans, film photographers, Leica shooters, community members such as Amrit Singh and Justin Quinnell, who makes pinholes out of bins and lots of people interested to know more about our range of Art Lenses.

The Photography Show ran for 4 days and it brought together some of the leading photography brands all under one roof. We were able to showcase the new Lomo’instant Automat Glass Magellan Edition which launched on Friday. We also managed to accidentally leave a loaded LC-Wide on the shelf during this time, which resulted in a few rather amusing nose shots from inquisitive people.

We wanted to say a huge thank you to Izzy Warner, Chris Pollard and Lomography account Manager Michal Džujka who all helped us out massively on the stall and helped make this event a huge success.
