   Wow that background turned out well but I've never seen that happen like this before. Was there a lot of wind when you took this?

   It wasn't the wind @lomaugustry. With a petzval lens you sort of "un-focus" to get a swirly background. There is a lot of repositioning (of yourself) and I spend a lot of time deciding where to place my focus. Light is key as well.

   Interesting I'm rather new to the world of lenses I only have one full slr I don't believe I've seen those available for my Sr-T.
