Travel trough the lens

I looked trough the view finder and my eye caught a movement right in front of me. There was a man coming straight at me. His determened look scared me at first. What did he want with me? Why was he coming at me? Het opend his arms and embraced me. I had not seen this coming, it startled me.
“Hey! What…?!” I struggled a bit. “Do we know each other?” From up closed I noticed he didn’t look very threatening. He looked quite friendly in fact.
“I didn’t mean to scare you,” he said. “I just noticed your camera and realised we are soul mates.”
“Uh, okay…” I said, and took a tiny step back. Friendly he might look, but soul mates?
When I stepped back, I noticed the street had changed. Gone were the familiar brick buildings, the cool air, the pale people. The air felt suddenly warm and moist, the sounds were different, the people, too…
This seemed like the perfect moment to utter a phrase I have always wanted to use.
“Where am I?”
“Jakarta!” Where else?"
“…” I was stunned.
“Well, I was just walking around, taking pictures, when I noticed you trough my lens.” The man said. “I recognised your awesome camera, and just wanted to say hi.”
“Uh, hi,” I said. “So how do I go back home?”
“You’ll just have to travel trough your lens again.” He said.
“That simple, huh?”
“Sure. That’s the beauty of photography, isn’t it? You can travel anywhere you want trough the lens of a camera.”
Relieved, I decided to stay a bit longer. The man showed me around Jakarta for a bit, we had a few refreshing drinks, met some old and new friends. At the end of the day, I looked trough my lens and looked for home. There! I snapped, and when I looked away from my camera, I was back home.
