The power of infrared

I’ve never thought that one picture of mine can get that popular in such a short time, but this tree is really making it! Many people asked me more about that film, and how that tree really looked like. I got the film from somebody I found on the internet who is cutting big aerochrome film sheets into medium format rolls. It isn’t sold any more from Kodak, sadly :(
It started, when a collegue of mine showed me his infrared pictures, and then I realized what a great power is in this film, so I had to order it!

But coming back to that tree. Here it is, with Holga and Provia 400X, looking nice on a sunny day, but quite normal:

For those, who already know about infrared photography, I don’t have to say that I used a filter for my first picture. Just ordered the first and cheapest orange filter I could find. Seeing the tree through the LC-A+ with holding the filter in front of the lense looks like this:

Yeah, and that’s it. It’s really an orange filter, not red, without any details written on it. Next time I’ll use a yellow filter, than I get pink trees and blue skies ;)
