week 3: fruits in frames

my idea was to create a little minimalistic photo series. for the photoshoot i took a black sheet, 2 white picture frames in different sizes and apples, oranges, lemons, a banana, a pineapple, a pomegranate, pepper and tomatoes. i also tried an avocado and carrots but they didn’t looked good in the photos.
the purpose of the black background was to really bring out the colors in the fruits as well as to achieve a high contrast with the white frames. furthermore i used the lomography x-pro slide film (cross processed) to get vibrant colors. i’m not always happy with the results of this film, but the colors came out really nice.
the shots were taken with a simple 35mm point and shoot camera. i used the flash but otherwise there wasn’t much to adjust. it’s on purpose, that the frames aren’t always in the center of the picture, i thought it was a good idea at the time. but i’m not so sure about it now… ;)
