  • First Roll with the Argus C3!

The Brick! I don't know why, but almost all of my shots came out with this curious blue quality. Did not expect this. The only shots that were not blue i had taken on bulb setting! Hmmm... We shall see what happens after my second roll. Still, i am having fun with this camera! I found the C3 at a junk store for next to nothing and love it!

The Great Race. A Time Speed Endurance Rally for Vintage Cars. This was the last day of the 9 day race, and the last lunch stop here at Depot Town Ypsilanti MI before they finished at The Henry Ford. Of the 96 cars that started 9 days before 77 had started that morning, we saw two pull in on a roll back before they all got back on the road to the finish. Concours d'Elegance of America at St. Johns. This has always been a very upscale and somewhat snobby car show. There has always been a Duesenberg class or two, and everything is the highest quality of early vintage automobiles. We're talking everyone wearing Seersucker Suits and Straw Hats. But the last few years they have been changing up the classes to include cars all the way up to 1970 and newer Super Cars. This year the special classes included - Jet-Age Station Wagons, Micro Cars, Sling Shot Rails, Vintage Three Wheelers, Trans-Am Race Cars, and Jaguar vs. Corvette. In 1997 I worked in a Custom Photo Lab and when the New Owner started to drive customers away because he was a Drunk, I may have supplemented my lost wages with a roll of film or two. This WAS a roll of Kodak Vericolor Slide that has been stored in my closet since 1997. It should be Bright Cyan, but I think It's Gone Off. But I am Happy I did get something, it was shot at EI of 2 ISO and Pushed 1 stop (in 1997 I had shot it at EI 18 and Push 1) The Scanner didn't like it, the film (process C-41 negatives) is dark and very green. So green that even scanning into a positive it's still green. I literally could not get rid of it. See here for what it looked like in 1997 http://www.lomography.com/homes/alburnkat/albums/1847920-two-monochromatic-views-of-lion/photos/16145872

The Last Cruisin' on the Bayou Car Show of the year. A Monday evening cruise in on Main St Belleville. A great turn out all summer of some very nice cars, I hope they do it again next year. My husband and I had a very enjoyable time driving and sometimes just walking downtown and looking at what everyone was showing.

Spent a nice weekend at the coast of Belgium with my family. My grandparents live there and since I am a little child, I go every year in summer for a week or more to Knokke to see my grandparents and spent a good time at the beach. This time I took my Polaroid SX-70 and my SLR680 and captured some beach impressions. ~ www.analogue-love.com ~

I think the guys at IP are doing a fair job. I really like the colors of this film, they just have to fix the opacifier problem and it's almost ready. If it wasn´t for the price, I would be shooting this every day..

It has honestly been a real struggle to try to manage this little stubborn camera... I just LOVE photos made with the SX 70 that I have seen on the web. But mine did not look like those, at all..... Until I decided to scan them... So, I guess it was mostly my comparison that was wrongly made, so here is a batch from different times, during this year. Enjoy!
